A door can be listed as a shell, door panel, door skin or as a complete assembly. Some listings are shell only, while others include fittings, so you need to match what is on your vehicle and what you plan to transfer across.

The main differences are position and body style. Front and rear doors are not the same, left and right sides are not the same, and sliding doors can be manual or electric, so check the listing details against your vehicle before you order.

Check these before you buy

• Body style, including whether a sliding door is manual or electric
• Shell only or supplied with fittings
• Allow for painting and transfer of glass, lock and trim
• Series and build range
